The Doc Market, which runs during the festival from April 19-26, consists of 350 documentaries selected by the Visions du Réel programmers to be offered on demand to distributors and festival programmers.

Ian’s first feature documentary ,‘The Ballad of Vicki and Jake’ (84 minutes, 2006, UK), won the Prix du Canton Vaud (best first film) at the same festival in 2006.

Filmed just one month after the nuclear meltdown in Fukushima, in April 2011, “In the Grey Zone” follows the story of the children living in the 20-30 kilometer radiation zone as they prepare to return to school.
